Late last year, brought together under the guise of Bundoran's beardiest coffee shop, the blokes of the establishment (much to the dismay of a few partners) banded together in an effort to do our bit for the health and well-being of our fellow bros. We watched our dismal facial hair sprout over the month of November 2020 as the big man, Adam "The Beard" Cross, carried the team to mo-glory.

As well as prostate cancer and testicular cancer research, #Movember tackles mental health and suicide prevention which given the times we’re in, feels particularly relevant. It’s no secret that men aren’t great at talking about their feelings and as a small business closed due to our current situation, we thought this a great way to stay connected to each other and raise awareness around the issue.

We created a team (aptly names the FOAMO BROS) and kept it updated with the mo-progress throughout the month. At the very least it was a laugh but we greatly appreciated the donations and ended the month with €740 raised which was above and beyond our expectations. On top of donations, we really wanted to highlight asking a friend (male or female), “How are you doing?”

*On a more serious note, we all know how much a laugh can help and if anyone ever needs a chat please reach out. We’ve got a coffee machine and an unlimited supply of one of the best conversation lubricants (coffee).
